Bryant Young

When I watched my favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers in the early 90’s I remember thinking how strong Bryant Young was on the field. After I interviewed him I found that he is one of the strongest people off the field. Bryant and his wife, Kristen are blessed with six children. Sadly Bryant lost his son, Colby to cancer. Through family and faith Bryant was able to be there for his family during that devastating time. Bryant was kind enough to talk with me about fatherhood, his son, Colby’s battle with cancer and his time in the NFL. I want to thank Bryant for his courage in speaking with me on my podcast. It was an honor to talk with him.

Tom Everett Scott

Tom Everett Scott sits down with me to talk about his role on the new hit NBC show, The Council of Dads. The show centers around Tom’s character, Scott Perry and when discovers he has cancer he is worried about his children growing up without his help and advice. He and his wife Robin recruit six friends to act as a “council of dads” to be father figures to his children. Then Tom and I talk about fatherhood and how he felt that his crown molding project was necessary for him to be a great dad. We discuss the types of values of he looks to instill in his kids. We finish the interview with the Fatherhood Quick Five.

Nick Bruno & Troy Quane

Spies In Disguise Directors, Nick Bruno and Troy Quane talk with me about how they approached this blockbuster film, how much fun they had with the cast that included Will Smith, Tom Holland, Ben Mendelsohn and Karen Gillan. We chat about how fatherhood has influenced their careers and how technology has evolved over the years in animated films. We then shift the conversation to fatherhood. Nick and Troy open up about their feelings when they found out they became dads and how cute and dangerous babies finger nails can be and much more. We finish the interview with Fatherhood Quick Five.

Donnell Rawlings

Donnell Rawlings is one funny guy! If you are like me and really enjoyed The Chappelle Show you definitely know of Donnell’s work. He is one hard-working man! He has a podcast, two comedy specials and he goes out to different cities to perform his stand up routine. I had the great pleasure of talking with Donnell about fatherhood, becoming a dad at an older age and how his son inspires him both in life and in his career. We chat about what he misses the most about The Chappelle Show, his creative process and the state of stand up comedy. We finish the interview with Fatherhood Quick Five.

Marques Ogden

Marques Ogden sat down with me to chat about his new book, The Success Cycle, fatherhood and his time in the NFL. Marques talks with me about how he looks to teach his kids accountability and the other values he looks to instill in them as they grow up. He also shares what he learned about being a parent from his dad. We then talk about his time in the NFL and what he misses the most about his playing days. We finish the interview with Fatherhood Quick Five.
